Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is an American chef television personality and ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and is also the host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network presenter with her distinctive long, blonde hair with a pumped up personality reveals easy to learn techniques and eliminates the fear of eating at restaurants in her series Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in the best New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. Early on, while growing up in New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was where she studied after earning an English diploma and Communications diploma from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an unforgettable experience for me. It was hard to study and do enough or put in the hours. After graduating Chef Burrell resided in Italy for one year taking classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Additionally, she worked at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin highly rated restaurant) located in Tuscany. During her time in Italy she came to comprehend and appreciate the philosophies behind Italian food and culture that made a lasting impression from a culinary perspective. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of kids who struggle. She also is a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate where she raises awareness about juvenile diabetics. As an inspirational speaker, she is on the road to talk about her love of food and her culinary career. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate that I could share her true passion with others.
